About this tool
Compute calories burned for any activity using its Metabolic Equivalent of Task (MET) value, body weight, and duration.
Formula
kcal = METs × weight(kg) × hours
Worked example
70 kg person walking briskly (4.3 MET) for 45 min → 4.3 × 70 × 0.75 ≈ 226 kcal.
Notes
METs are tabulated in the Compendium of Physical Activities. 1 MET ≈ resting energy expenditure.
