Formula
value_to = value_from × (factor_from ÷ factor_to), with factors expressed in joules.
Worked example
1 kWh × (3,600,000 ÷ 1) = 3,600,000 J = 3.6 MJ
Notes
A nutritional "Calorie" (capital C) is a kilocalorie (kcal). Food labels use kcal, even though they often write "Calories".
