For light and other electromagnetic radiation traveling in vacuum, wavelength and frequency are inversely proportional through the speed of light.
Formula
c = λ · f, c = 299,792,458 m/s
Worked example
Green light at 500 nm → f = c/λ = 5.996×10¹⁴ Hz ≈ 600 THz.
Notes
Visible light spans roughly 380 nm (violet) to 750 nm (red). Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz has λ ≈ 12.5 cm. Speed in a medium is c/n where n is the refractive index.
